Born in Himeji City, Hyogo Prefecture, I have lived in Hokkaido, Tokyo, and Hong Kong. For the past 25 years, I have made Kagurazaka my home. With a desire for travelers visiting Japan from overseas to travel as lightly as possible and to experience as much of Japan's wonderful traditional culture as they can, I established EDO KAGURA Corporation in December 2021. By providing clothing rentals, we make it easier for travelers to enjoy their trips and appreciate the charm of Japan's traditional culture. It is a great joy for us when many customers become fans of Japan and return as repeat visitors.

Born in Tokyo; lived in the United States from 3rd to 9th grade.
I am very attracted to this job, where I can personally introduce Japan to my overseas customers. During my time at Sony Music, I frequently had the chance to attend to overseas artists and staff who came to Japan, and I believe I can utilize that experience here. Another best thing about this work is that I also get to acquire new knowledge and learn more about Japanese history and culture at first hand. I wish to make your Japanese trip unforgettable, making you want to come back again!

I love sharing the lifestyles, cultural differences, and the way Japanese people think, etc., based on my experience in the US and Europe. Tour Guide

I was born in Chiba, but I’ve had the privilege of growing up in Groningen, The Netherlands, and the Bay Area, U.S.A., where I lived from 3rd to 12th grade. Living in such different parts of the world made me fall in love with meeting people from all kinds of cultural backgrounds, and that’s what inspired me to become a tour guide!

I absolutely love talking to people and connecting with different cultures. Whether it was volunteering at the San Francisco Airport’s travel aid agency, working with kids at a bilingual Chinese-English childcare, or tutoring my peers (many of whom were immigrants).

I also have a big love for performing! Whether it’s singing, dancing, cheering, or even musicals, I’ve always enjoyed bringing energy and joy to others. I try to bring that same enthusiasm to my tours, making them fun, personal, and memorable—just like exploring Tokyo with a local friend.

I’m honored to guide you through Kagurazaka and will do my very best to make this experience unforgettable. Let’s make some amazing memories together. Welcome, and I can’t wait to meet you!

Tour Guide

Having lived and worked abroad for many years, including in London, Moscow and New York, I have a deep personal interest in different cultures and ways of life, and understand how overseas guests experience Japan.

My priority is to bring a global perspective to Japanese traditions, making them easy to understand and genuinely engaging. I carefully tailor each tour to individual interests, whether history, art, food, or everyday local life. By listening closely to my guests, I create personalized journeys that go beyond sightseeing, ensuring that each visitor enjoys an unforgettable experience in Japan that feels meaningful, warm, and truly their own. My tours are less like a lecture and more like exploring the neighborhood with a knowledgeable local friend.

Multilingual Tour Guide (German & English)

I became a guide because I love traveling and connecting people across cultures. After living and working in Germany for many years, I returned to Tokyo to share the beauty, culture and traditions of Japan with international guests.

In Germany I taught Japanese at a university and also supported international expats through relocation services and interpretations for various companies. Through these experiences, I developed a deep appreciation for cross-cultural communication.

Japan offers unique beauty and rich traditions.I would love to share not only the sights, but also joyful moments that make each journey special. As your personal guide, I will accompany you in a relaxed and thoughtful way, so your travel experience becomes memorable and enriching.
