Emissions from checked baggage alone (if every passenger carried 20 kg of checked luggage) amount to 104.5 million tons (0.23%). This figure exceeds the carbon dioxide emissions of 156 countries, including the Czech Republic (96.3 million tons) and Belgium (93 million tons).
2) Furoshiki (Japanese wrapping cloth)
We use traditional Japanese Furoshiki as packing material for our rental clothing. Furoshiki is a versatile cloth traditionally used for wrapping and carrying items, with a history dating back to the Nara period (710–794). Using Furoshiki helps reduce waste from plastics and paper, allowing you to participate in sustainable practices while in Japan. When returning your rental clothing, you don’t need to return the Furoshiki. You can keep it to wrap your souvenirs from your trip to Japan and take it home with you.
3) Patagonia
By using our rental service, you can help contribute to combating climate change. All the clothing we offer is from the U.S. outdoor brand Patagonia, which donates 1% of its sales to the '1% for the Planet' corporate alliance to address the world's most pressing environmental challenges.
